The Anglican Parish of Northern Mallee The new Parish was formed on Jan 1st, 1998, when St Mark's Red Cliffs was combined with St Margaret's Mildura. St Luke's Irymple and St John's Merbein were already incorporated within the parish of Mildura. Our Mallee ministry team visit All Saint' Meringur and Nangiloc Community Church every fifth week. Our neighbouring parish in NSW is at Wentworth, with a second worship centre at Dareton. Robinvale and Manangatang are to our east, Ouyen is to our south, and the SA parish of Loxton is to the west. The Victorian parishes form part of Bendigo Diocese.

Our Leaders. Father Ron Wood has been in Sunraysia about 12 years. Father Russell Smith relocated his family to join us a year ago Both wives are called Jan, and both are also musical. The part-time assistant is Fr Warren Rumble who also serves at Robinvale. Fr Doug Allen and Fr Gary Fordham are Honorary Assistants.

Our System of Administration The Parish is governed by a Parish Council, made up of a Warden from each Centre, plus two other representatives. They meet monthly. The Warden and representatives hold a monthly meeting at their Centre. Some centres call their meeting a Congregational meeting, the others use the term 'Vestry Meeting' Each Centre is responsible for its own grounds, as well as working together towards the unity of the whole Parish.

What is different this month? St Martgaret's day is Monday 16 November, and we will be celebrating with sung Evensong at 6.15pm at St Margaret's church. Fr Ed Byford, priest at Broken Hill & Archdeacon of the Darling, will be the special preacher. We shall follow the service with a meal at the RSL Club on the corner of Madden Ave and 10th Street. Meals range from $9 to $16, and we need to give prior warning of our intention to attend. Everyone is welcome - just put your name on the list provided.
